Dion Lesage
He began school at the age of seven with his childhood friend Terence. He would meet Joshua at the age of nine when he attended the Remembrance Ceremony. This ceremony is where plans were hatched to take out Rosaria. Terence would become his squire at the age of 12. Anabella, Clive and Joshua's mother would marry Sylvestre when Dion was 15. At this time, Dion would be enlisted in the Holy Order of the Knights Dragoon where he would become very distinguished, ending his education. Terence would follow him.
When he was 17, his younger brother Olivier would be born and at 18 he would take up the title of Holy Dragoon, forsaking his title of Crown Prince. That same year he would sustain a serious injury while protecting Terence which leads to the two of them confessing and beginning a romantic relationship.
At age 20, he would be promoted to the Leader of the Holy Order of the Knights Dragoon as recognition of his accomplishments. When he is 28, Olivier would be elevated to Emperor of Sanbreque and Dion would try to appeal to Sylvestre to stop this madness. He is again referred to as the Crown Prince at this time - although when the title was reinstated is not mentioned. Sylvestre refuses to listen and so Dion leads a revolt to overthrow Olivier, seeing him as a dark corrupting influence, thanks to Joshua informing him about Ultima and his intentions. Everything about the coup d'état goes awry, he accidentally murders Sylvestre, is forced to be primed into Bahamut during the anguish and he causes massive destruction to the city. He would successfully kill Olivier, however.
After this, he would heal briefly at The Hideaway before returning to look around at the destruction. Rescued by Kihel, a young girl, he makes himself a vow to atone for the death and destruction around him. He throws his lot in with Joshua to assist with taking down Ultima. He would part ways with Terence, while giving him enough money to escape and look after Kihel, believing he owes her his life. He would ultimately go to the final battle with Ultima, never to return again.
Dion is working on atoning for this grave sin, feeling incredibly guilty for the loss of life among the populace. He has always cared about the innocents the most, and it has been especially important when his father turns his back on them. A failed attempt at a coup that ended in disaster of the grandest scale has left Dion a bit bereft.
He is, and has been, planning to die for the cause. He threw his lot in with Joshua and Clive in a bid to take down Ultima, at any cost, for the greater good. It is not likely he can be persuaded from this as he cares deeply about atoning for his sins and seeking forgiveness.
Physical Attributes Initially he will manifest a halo and his eyes will change colour with his mood. When particularly virtuous, or engaging in Legend related powers, he will have a faint ethereal glow.
Non-physical Qualities He can sense people in trouble and is a little more sturdy than usual.
Reasoning While it can be handily argued that Dion can qualify for a role as a Myth - he does, after all, overthrow Sanbreque and send the country into chaos through revolution - his reasoning for doing so are purely good. He sees his father as being corrupted and unwilling to change, unwilling to serve their populace and sacrificing them for no reason is unjust. Dion also throws his lot in with Joshua and Clive and takes aim at the remaining crystals in an effort to bring about positive change and save the world.
